Company advertising and guerrilla marketing campaigns have grown exponentially in the last few decades. The excess of paper, plastic and unrecyclable materials has also grown in parallel with the rise of advertising. In the last ten years we have moved to a digital age of marketing, however physical content is still aplenty.
This series focuses on how consumerism has driven the budgets for marketing campaigns and in-turn a complete discard for material wastage has been created.
The entire series was taken within a lightbox, no bigger than a small cardboard box. All of the figures are made of plastic and the packaging in many of the pictures shows the waste of the packaging just to get to the dolls. This is a reflection of large multinationals discarding the ramifications of their actions in order to get to their consumer.
